RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Allie Hoang and Markenzie Benoit were both named Great American Conference Players of the Week for volleyball after SWOSU posted another undefeated week in conference play against Southeastern and Southern Nazarene. 

Hoang was named setter of the week after posting her 12th double-double of the season against SE – with 47 assists and 16 digs. She followed up that performance with 54 assists against SNU, totaling the most she’s had in a four-set match all year. This is Hoang’s third GAC weekly honor of the season. 

Benoit was named co-offensive player of the week after posting a season high 18 kills against SE and averaging a .403 hitting percentage. Benoit too has garnered weekly conference recognition three times this season.

SWOSU Volleyball is riding a program best nine-game winning streak entering the second week of November and is in the hunt for a conference championship with two games remaining in the regular season.
