SEARCY, Ark. – Football fell at the hands of a top-10 nationally ranked Harding team on Saturday by a final score of 55-7.
SWOSU's lone score of the game came in the third quarter after Lafayette Wright connected with Justin Bailey for a 50-yard touchdown pass. This was Wright's first start of the season at quarterback.
Wright ended 12-of-26 through the air with 163 yards and that touchdown. Running Back Jermaine Mask was given nine touches for 29 yards on the ground.
Ryan Pollard recovered a fumble in the contest – SWOSU's lone turnover on the afternoon forced by Silas Collins.
Harding totaled 506 yards of total offense (459 rushing) and tallied seven rushing touchdowns. The Bisons triple option attack dominated the time of possession battle, with control of the football for right at 38 minutes of game time.
The Bulldogs will wrap up their season next week on the road with a rivalry matchup at Northwestern.
