Setting the Scene
- Lady Bulldog Basketball concludes the regular season on Saturday afternoon in Russellville, Ark., taking on Arkansas Tech at 1:00 pm
- The Lady Bulldogs have already secured their second straight Great American Conference Championship while Arkansas Tech secured the #7 seed in the GAC Tournament with a victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday evening
- SWOSU has won 26 straight games since dropping their season opener to Emporia State, which gives them the second-longest active win streak in NCAA Division II
- This season, the Lady Bulldogs are 11-0 in true road games, including a 10-0 mark in conference road games
- The Lady Dawgs will take a top-10 ranking in both national polls into the final week of the regular season while they also moved to the top spot in the Central Region with the second set of NCAA Division II Regional Rankings, which were announced on Wednesday
 
About the Opponent

- After clinching their spot in the GAC Tournament field last weekend, the Golden Suns locked down the #7 seed with a 70-67 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday night at Tucker Coliseum

- With their victory over Harding on Thursday night, SWOSU has now matched their single-season win total from last season at 26, which is the most wins by the Lady Bulldogs during their NCAA Division II era
- On Wednesday, the Lady Bulldogs were announced as the new #1 team in the Central Region and they also maintained their highest rankings of the season in the national polls
- SWOSU entered the weekend ranked #10 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll this week while moving to #5 in the D2SIDA Media Poll
- The Lady Bulldogs are ranked third in NCAA Division II with a scoring average of 86.7 points per game this season while ranking seventh in the country with an average of 12.8 steals per game
- Hailey Tucker scored 20 points against Harding for her 12th 20-point game of the season, which upped her average to 19.1 points per game for the year
- The GAC's leading rebounder, Bethany Franks, scored 15 points and recorded a career-high seven steals in the win over Harding on Thursday night
- Franks has now scored 10 or more points three times in the past five games while maintaining her league-lead with 8.5 rebounds per game for the year
- Hayden Priddy hit the biggest shot of the game on Thursday, knocking down a three-pointer in the final minute as part of her 11-point outing
- Tyra Aska scored nine points while pulling down a team-best eight rebounds in 35 minutes of action against Harding
- SWOSU's current 26-game winning streak is the second-longest active streak in NCAA Division II, the longest in Great American Conference history and the longest by the Lady Bulldogs in the NCAA era
 
Looking Ahead
- SWOSU's postseason will begin next Thursday, March 7, at 5:45 pm against the rival Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State in the quarterfinals of the GAC Tournament
- The conference tournament is being held at Bruin Fieldhouse in Bartlesville, Okla., for the eighth consecutive year
