WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Men's Basketball was held to 37.5% shooting from the field and allowed East Central to hit 14 three-pointers as the Tigers cruised to a 99-74 victory on Thursday night at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.
SWOSU build an early 7-2 lead, but ECU scored the next 14 points and never looked back, building a 14-point lead at halftime that ballooned as high as 27 points in the closing minutes. The Bulldogs got a double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds from
Tre Evans, who struggled from the field but got to the free throw line often, connecting on 14-of-17 attempts from the stripe.
Chris Braggs, Jr., was the only other player to reach double figures in scoring, chipping in 11 points in 27 minutes of action. SWOSU hit just 24-of-64 (37.5%) field goal attempts and 7-of-27 (25.9%) three-pointers.
SWOSU (4-17, 1-14 GAC) returns to action on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Shawnee to face Oklahoma Baptist at 3:00 pm.
