Setting the Scene
- The Great American Conference Champion SWOSU Women's Basketball team will host Henderson State on Thursday evening at 5:30 pm
- SWOSU will be celebrating the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Thursday, with a brief ceremony to be held in the lobby before the game along with a presentation at halftime of the women's game
- The Lady Bulldogs clinched their second consecutive GAC regular season championship last Saturday with a 61-55 victory at Southern Nazarene
- SWOSU has won 23 straight games this season and they are also riding a 30-game home winning streak following an 83-58 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State last Thursday evening
- With two weeks to play in the regular season, the Lady Dawgs are ranked second in the Central Region Rankings, which were released Wednesday, and they came in at #12 in the WBCA Poll and #7 in the D2SIDA Media Poll this week

- The Reddies have clinched their spot in the GAC Tournament and they're currently tied for third place in the conference standings with East Central and Southern Nazarene at 12-6
- Henderson State ranks only behind SWOSU among GAC teams in terms of scoring, averaging 73.0 points per game while holding their opponents to an average of 67.2 points
- Pink Jones leads the Reddies with 15.3 points and 4.6 assists per game, a number which ranks second among players in the GAC

- The Lady Bulldogs clinched their fourth conference championship as an NCAA Division II institution on Saturday with a 61-55 victory at Southern Nazarene
- SWOSU won the game despite being held to 61 points, their lowest-scoring game since dropping the season opener 68-60 to Emporia State on November 9th
- The Lady Bulldogs carry the second-longest active winning streak in NCAA Division II (23 games) and the fourth-longest home win streak (30 games) into Thursday night's contest with Henderson State
- Leading the way for SWOSU is senior guard Hailey Tucker, who is averaging 18.7 points per game this season and she's ranked second among active players in NCAA Division II with better than 2,100 career points to her credit
- SWOSU's other senior guard, Hayden Priddy is ranked 14th among active players with 1,643 career points and she's been named the GAC Player of the Week twice in the past three weeks
- The Lady Bulldogs are ranked third in NCAA Division II with a scoring average of 86.1 points per game and their 10.3 made three-pointers per game is second-best among all Division II schools
- Taylor Hedrick matched Priddy with a team-high 16 points at SNU, reaching double figures in scoring for the eighth time this season while upping her average to 9.3 points per game for the year
- The GAC's leading rebounder, Bethany Franks, pulled down seven boards against SNU, giving her at least seven rebounds in four straight games and 8.7 rebounds per game this season
- With 23 consecutive victories, the Lady Bulldogs have set a new Great American Conference record for the longest winning streak, surpassing the previous record of 18 set by Harding during the 2013-14 season
 
Looking Ahead
- Saturday is Hall of Fame Day at SWOSU and former Lady Bulldog Julie (Dawson) Johnson is one of three individual who will be inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame prior to the game against Ouachita
- That game will also mark Senior Day for the Lady Bulldogs and the final regular season home game for seniors Savannah Gray, Katie Percival, Hayden Priddy and Hailey Tucker
- Next week, the Lady Dawgs hit the road to conclude the season with games at Harding and Arkansas Tech
