WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Behind a season-best attack percentage and just four hitting errors, the SWOSU Volleyball team picked up their third straight victory by defeating Southern Arkansas 3-0 on Saturday at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.
SWOSU won the first set 25-13 before claiming each of the final two by identical scores of 25-16.
The Bulldogs put down 36 kills – led by 10 from freshman
Maicee Morgan – while committing just four errors in 98 swings, which equaled a season-best hitting clip of .327.
Emily Wood had seven kills while
Jenny Tackett had six and
Brylee Burroughs and
Sofia Gruden added five apiece without an attack error.
Allie Hoang led the Dawgs with 28 assists while
Kaitlyn Dillon had a team-high 11 digs.
On the strength of three victories this week, SWOSU is now 8-9 on the year and 3-4 in Great American Conference play. Next action for the Dawgs comes next Friday evening in Russellville against Arkansas Tech.
