Setting the Scene
- SWOSU Women's Basketball plays their third game in the past six days as they host Southern Nazarene on Saturday afternoon at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center
- The Lady Bulldogs enter the contest on a seven-game win streak, the latest a gritty, 81-76 victory at Oklahoma Christian on Thursday evening
- After winning the first three games of the current streak by better than 25 points each, SWOSU has had to grind out victories of late with three of the last four games being decided by less than two possessions
- SWOSU is 2-0 in Great American Conference play, with victories at East Central and at home against Southeastern coming last week while the Crimson Storm are 1-2 in league play with a win over East Central and losses at Northwestern and Southeastern
- Since 2015, the Lady Bulldogs are 11-3 in the month of December with four consecutive victories to their credit
 
About the Opponent
Southern Nazarene (1-6, 1-2 GAC)
- The Crimson Storm fell to 1-6 on the year after suffering a 66-49 setback at Southeastern on Thursday night
- SNU has faced a difficult schedule to this point, opening the season with three straight ranked opponents including the defending national champions of Central Missouri
- Offensively, SNU is one of the lowest-scoring teams in the conference with 53.1 points per game while giving up 63.6 points per to opponents
- Southern Nazarene alum Trent May returned to Bethany to lead the program this year following head coaching stints at Grand Canyon and Bethany

- Sophomore Maddie Sperle set new career-highs in both points (10) and rebounds (5) in SWOSU's win at Oklahoma Christian on Thursday night
- Hayden Priddy led the Lady Bulldogs with 17 points at OC on 5-of-9 shooting from the field while also setting a new career-high with six steals
- Already SWOSU's all-time leader in assists, Priddy is now one assist shy of 400 for her career while ranking second in the GAC in assist:turnover ratio (1.4:1) this season
- With eight rebounds on Thursday night, Hailey Tucker moved into second on SWOSU's career rebounding list and seventh in conference history
- Tucker is now within striking distance of second place on SWOSU's all-time scoring list, needing 26 points to surpass Valerie Farris, who totaled 1,845 points during her time with the Lady Bulldogs
- Bethany Franks has pulled down nine or more rebounds five times this season and she currently leads the GAC with 9.3 rebounds per game this season
- After setting their season-high with 16 steals on Monday against Lubbock Christian, the Lady Dawgs followed that effort with 15 steals at OC on Thursday night
- SWOSU has now taken away 10 or more steals in six games this season, good for an average of 11.9 per game which ranks fourth in the GAC
- The Lady Bulldogs were forced into a season-high 16 turnovers by Oklahoma Christian, but they still managed to break even with the Lady Eagles in points off turnovers with 21
- Tyra Aska kept her double-digit scoring streak alive with 13 points at OC, surpassing the 900-career point mark in the game and moving into 16th on SWOSU's all-time scoring list
 
Looking Ahead
- SWOSU concludes the fall semester next Saturday as they host Oklahoma Baptist in another Great American Conference contest
- The final action of the 2018 calendar year comes two weeks later on Saturday, December 29th with an exhibition contest against the University of the Southwest
