WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The SWOSU Women's Basketball team closed the 2018 portion of their schedule with a 125-36 exhibition win over the University of the Southwest on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Bulldogs controlled the contest from the get go opening things up with a 12-2 lead at the first media timeout. SWOSU continued to roll ending the first quarter with a 39-15 advantage. The Lady Dawgs held the Mustangs to just two second quarter points and led 67-17 at the end of the first half.
The SWOSU lead never dropped below 20 points in the second half, as the Lady Bulldogs rolled to the victory.
Hailey Tucker led the way with 23 points in 17 minutes of action while adding two blocks and four steals to her line.
Bethany Franks pitched in 16 points going a perfect 7-of-7 from the field.
Dovile Strimaitye and
Taber Beer added 10 points of their own.
Hayden Priddy tallied nine assists in the contest to lead the Bulldogs in that category as well as scoring eight points.
The Lady Bulldogs will open up 2019 inside the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Thursday, January 3, against Arkansas-Monticello at 5:30 pm.
