Setting the Scene
- The month of December opens up with SWOSU Men's Basketball hosting Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center in Weatherford
- Both teams are searching for their first conference victory after SWOSU was upended 101-74 at East Central on Thursday night while Southeastern suffered their first defeat of the season by a score of 80-77 in overtime at Oklahoma Baptist
- SWOSU leaves behind the month of November, which saw four road or neutral games, and enters a stretch which will include six-of-seven upcoming games being played at home
- Southeastern has won four straight meetings in the series with SWOSU and they've left Weatherford victorious in three of their last four trips

- Tre Evans recorded his second consecutive double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds on Thursday night at East Central
- Evans remains the leading scorer in the conference, averaging 26.0 points to go along with 6.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in four games this season
- Marcus Thomas was the Bulldogs second-leading scorer at ECU, finishing the contest with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists
- Thomas ranks third on the team with 10.6 points per game this season, scoring 10 or more in three of the first five games
- Jamar Sandifer battled foul trouble against ECU and was limited to a season-low eight points before fouling in 20 minutes of action
- SWOSU is tied with Arkansas Tech for third in the league in scoring offense, averaging 86.6 points per game
- Nick Shoemaker knocked down his first three-pointer of the season last Saturday, giving him 161 for his career, which ranks third at SWOSU for the NCAA Division II era
- Shoemaker needs 10 more three-pointers to surpass former teammate Markeise Champion (170, 2015-17) for second place on that list
- East Central became the third team in five games to score 100 points against the Bulldogs, who are now allowing exactly 100.0 points per game to opponents this season
