Setting the Scene
- SWOSU Men's Basketball returns to action on Tuesday with a trip to Claremore to face Rogers State
- The Bulldogs have been off for the past 10 days following an 0-2 start to the season with losses against Northeastern State and Central Oklahoma at the GAC/MIAA Challenge in Tahlequah
- This will be SWOSU's first trip to Claremore to face the Hillcats and just the second meeting between the programs
- Rogers State defeated the Bulldogs 97-77 last November at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center in the first meeting between the teams
- The Hillcats fell to 2-2 on the year after suffering an overtime defeat against Rockhurst on Saturday in Claremore, where they are 1-1 this season
- SWOSU will play their second true road game of the season on Tuesday in their first year under the direction of head coach Terry Evans
 
About the Opponent
Rogers State (2-2)
- RSU enters the game with an even record following a win over Northeastern State last Wednesday followed by an overtime setback against Rockhurst on Saturday
- The Hillcats are averaging 75.3 points per game this season, the exact same total they have allowed to their opponents through four games
- Rogers State was picked to finish fourth in the Heartland Conference this season after finishing last season with an overall record of 18-11
- RSU is led by Justin Barkley, who is in his ninth season at the school and has won 99 games at home during his tenure

- SWOSU averaged 84.0 points per game in their first two contests at the GAC/MIAA Challenge, a number up from an average of 76.2 points per game last season
- Tre Evans led the Bulldogs in their opener against Northeastern State, scoring 21 points with eight rebounds and six assists before missing the second game against Central Oklahoma
- SWOSU placed three individuals in double figures against UCO, getting 18 points apiece from Jamar Sandifer and Kamden Gipson while Chris Braggs, Jr., chipped in with 17 points
- The Bulldogs hit at least seven three pointers in both games, shooting an impressive 42.2% (19-of-45) from long range for the weekend
- Marcus Thomas hit a team-leading eight three pointers in Tahlequah, shooting 57.1% (8-for-14) from downtown on the road trip
- One place the Bulldogs struggled to convert at was the free throw line, where they hit just 27-of-49 attempts for a 55.1% success rate
- Sandifer is currently second in the conference in steals with seven, an average of 3.5 per game, while Thomas is not far behind with two steals per game to his credit
- Sandifer and Cheikh Fall are tied for the team lead with 10 rebounds (5.0 per game) recorded in the first two games
- Jefkins Agyeman-Budu averaged 5.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game along with one steal and one block while starting both games to start his senior season

Looking Ahead
- The Bulldogs return to Weatherford on Saturday to host Cameron at 3:00 pm in the 2018-19 home opener
- Conference play begins next week with a trip to Ada to face East Central on Thursday before hosting Southeastern Oklahoma State next Saturday (Dec. 1) at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center
- SWOSU heads on the road to Oklahoma Christian on December 6th before being back at home on December 8th for a conference matchup against Southern Nazarene
