Box Score (html)

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Up two sets to none, the SWOSU Volleyball team appeared to be on their way to a Senior Night victory, but Southern Nazarene had other plans and came from behind to force a deciding fifth set, which they won 15-10 to take the match.

The final set scores of the match were 25-19, 25-18, 22-25, 20-25, 10-15.

SWOSU built their lead in large part due to their efficiency offensively and at the service line, where they had seven aces and four errors through two sets. Those numbers evened out as the game played out, with the Bulldogs finishing the match with 10 service aces against 12 errors. The Bulldogs also had their hitting percentage drop as the game progressed, ending at .122 with 50 kills and 26 hitting errors.

Danusia Sipa Borgeaud led the way for SWOSU with a double-double of 17 kills and 22 digs in addition to four service aces in the first set. Elizabeth McVicker put away 12 kills on the evening to go along with five digs and four block assists while Jenny Tackett added eight kills and three blocks. Allie Hoang also had a double-double with 40 assists and 14 digs, and Kaitlyn Dillon led the way for the Dawgs with 23 digs. Kodee Avery (13) and Klemson Lancaster (11) also reached double figures in digs.

The setback drops SWOSU to 19-6 on the year and 12-3 in Great American Conference play heading into the regular season finale, which will take place on Thursday evening in Alva against Northwestern Oklahoma State.
