WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Baseball couldn't pull off the series sweep over Ouachita Baptist on Sunday, dropping the final game of the weekend 7-3 in 10 innings.

Devin Ring (L, 3-4) pitched a hard-nosed game for the Dawgs on the bump, lasting into the tenth inning with two outs before the ball was finally taken from him. The senior had arguably his best outing of the season, striking out nine despite walking four and was able to keep SWOSU in the ballgame all afternoon.

The offense got the scoring going in the opening inning, manufacturing a run off of a Jason Nichols groundout. After the Tigers answered with a run themselves, the Dawgs again took the lead with a double that bounced off the left-field wall hit off the bat of Daniel Richardson, bringing in Joshua Santos easily from third.

After SWOSU tied the game back up at 3-3 in the seventh, neither team was able to scratch a run across for the remainder of regulation and the ballgame went to extras.

In the extra action, the Tigers were able to finally get Ring out of the game and took advantage of the change of pitchers. OUA collected four hits and scored four runs in the 10th and put the game out of reach with the explosion of offense late. Although SWOSU was able to get two runners on base in the bottom half, a tough-luck call at first base ended the game and the Tigers escaped Weatherford with a victory.
