ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – SWOSU Baseball (15-21, 11-13 GAC) went winless on Friday in Arkadelphia, dropping game one 6-3 and game two 2-1 to Henderson State. After a rough start costed the Dawgs in game one, SWOSU jumped on HSU in the second game but couldn't hold on in what ended up being a low-scoring pitching duel.
The series between the teams will conclude tomorrow at 1:00 pm with the third and final game.

The Reddies jumped on the Bulldogs early, scoring five runs on eight hits through the game's first two innings. The early 5-0 deficit proved to be too much for the Bulldogs, who only managed to score three runs through nine innings.
Joshua Santos, one of two Bulldogs to produce two hits in the game, gave SWOSU two runs with one swing of the bat in the fifth inning after belting his first home run of the season.
Ted Wisdom, the other hitter with a multi-hit game, quietly went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles.
Brendan Peitsmeyer lasted only two innings on the bump in his 10th start of the year and was charged with the loss to fall to an even 5-5.
Skyler Martin gave SWOSU quality innings in relief, allowing just one run (earned) while striking out three in his 6.0 innings of work.

A lead-off double by
Ruben Rodriguez eventually led to the first run of the game in first inning of the nightcap after
Rogelio Sanchez drove him in with a two-out single.
Leading 1-0, SWOSU cruised through the beginning and middle innings with
Jeremy Smith on the mound pitching scoreless baseball. Henderson State however was able to brake the shutout in the sixth and took their first and only lead of the game at 2-1.
Down to their final three outs, the Bulldogs went in order and went back to the hotel winless on Friday against Henderson State in two chances.
