LAWTON, Okla. – SWOSU Baseball dropped both games of their doubleheader against Cameron on Saturday to fall to 4-3 on the season, and lose two games in the same day for the first time since the 2015 season after never doing so a year ago.
The Dawgs will return to action on Friday and Saturday when they open Great American Conference play against Arkansas Tech in a three-game series out at the Athletic Complex.

Box Score (html)
SWOSU couldn't hang on to an early 6-0 lead after pushing across six runs in the second inning to jump on the Aggies. By the fourth inning, Cameron had gotten within one at 7-6 after plating two runs in the second and four runs in the fourth. SWOSU would answer by scratching across one in the top of the fifth, but allowed the Aggies to score another four in the bottom half to take a 10-8 lead – their first of the game. Both four-run innings for the Cameron offense came courtesy of grand slams.
The defense for both sides stepped up in the final two innings, as both sides' pitchers held the opposing offenses in check to hold the score intact until the game went final, as Cameron would take game one.
Patrick O'Toole provided the only multi-hit game for SWOSU, while
Daniel Richardson drove in a team-best three runs.
Danny-David Linahan drove his first homerun out as a Bulldog to left center in the fifth inning which at the time was insurance to SWOSU's lead.
Devin Ring started on the mound and gave up six runs on six hits in 3.2 innings of work, but the loss was issued to
Stephen Pagendarm after relinquishing the lead in the fifth.
