Setting the Scene
- SWOSU Volleyball (8-13, 5-2 GAC) will take a quick break from conference play to host Southwestern Christian inside the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Tuesday, October 10 at 7 pm
- It will be your only chance to catch volleyball in action at home this week, as the Dawgs travel to Arkansas later on in the week to resume GAC action
- The Bulldogs are looking to avenge their five-set loss at Southwestern Christian back on September 23
The Opponent
Southwestern Christian (12-5, 5-4 SAC)
- SCU comes into the contest having won two-straight 3-0 matches over USAO and Mid-America Christian, both conference opponents
- Cashlyn Munroe leads the Eagle offense with 243 kills in 62 sets (3.9/set)
- SCU is confident if the match goes five sets, holding a 3-0 record this season when the game goes the distance including a victory over SWOSU

The Coaches
SWOSU: Josh Collins (78-102, 6th season)
- Led the Bulldogs to the best season in program history in 2015, winning 22 games and the GAC Tournament Championship
- Has coached 12 All-GAC selections, one GAC Freshman of the Year and two AVCA All-Central Region selections in four seasons
- His teams have earned two AVCA Team Academic Awards and one GAC Sportsmanship Award
- Added the duties of Director of Gameday Operations at SWOSU in the fall of 2014.

SCU: Kristen Coventon (59-65, 4th season)
- Enters her fourth season at the helm of Southwestern Christian after taking over in 2014
- Coventon came to SCU by way of Oklahoma City where she spent two seasons an assistant coach
- While at OCU, she helped coach six All-SAC selections, including the 2013 NAIA Mid-South Region and SAC freshman of the year
- Prior to her time at OCU, Coventon was a four-year standout at Central Oklahoma from 2006-2010. She became one of only three players in school history to record 1,000 or more kills and digs in a career, finishing with 1,307 kills and 1,478 digs

SWOSU Notes
- In SWOSU's first matchup against Southwestern Christian this season, the Bulldogs hit .267 with 70 kills but fell just short in five sets
- The Bulldogs were led offensively that day by
DeLayni Fine's 15 kills, while three other hitters posted double-digit kills in the match
- Fine and
JaLisa Hollingshed had success at the net that afternoon, both coming away with four blocks apiece
