WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The SWOSU Volleyball team will play three matches at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center this week, beginning on Monday evening with a non-conference matchup with the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (USAO).

This will mark the first all-time meeting between the Bulldogs and Drovers in volleyball – a sport that USAO added to its department starting with the 2016 season. USAO is currently 2-14 on the year with victories over Jarvis Christian and Central Christian and they are 0-2 against NCAA Division II foes this year having dropped a pair of three-set matches against Northwestern Oklahoma State on the opening weekend of the year.

SWOSU enters the contest with a record of 9-15 overall after dropping a pair of Great American Conference matches at No. 16-ranked Arkansas Tech and Harding this past weekend. The Bulldogs are 4-1 at home this season, having won four straight matches inside the Pioneer Cellular Event Center – where they will play their next four games and six of their final eight to wrap up the regular season.

The Bulldogs have four players who have totaled more than 100 kills this season, led by Danusia Sipa Borgeaud with 254 (2.65 per set) and DeLayni Fine with 243 (2.48). SWOSU is averaging 11.46 kills per set while hitting at a .162 clip for the year. Kodee Avery has 847 assists this season and 989 for her career, needing 11 assists to become just the eighth player in program history to reach the 1,000-career assist plateau.

Also approaching a milestone is sophomore libero Kaitlyn Dillon – who's 510 digs this season already ranks as the third-most in a single season at SWOSU. Dillon enters Monday's contest with 993 career digs – seven shy of becoming the fifth Bulldog Volleyball player to record 1,000 digs for her career.

First serve between SWOSU and USAO will come at 7:00 pm on Monday evening at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center in Weatherford.
