- SWOSU looks to keep their undefeated record intact following a loss as the Lady Dawgs are a perfect 3-0 after losing their previous contest
- East Central is coming off an 0-2 road trip to Arkansas with losses to Harding and Arkansas Tech
- In five meetings at the Kerr Activities Center as GAC foes, SWOSU has a 3-2 record against ECU with four of those five games decided by 10 points or fewer
- Six games into the GAC schedule, the Lady Bulldogs currently hold a 4-2 record in league play but have collected both of their conference losses in road contests

The Opponent
East Central (2-8, 1-5 GAC)
- ECU is tied for tenth place in the GAC rankings with Southern Arkansas and Oklahoma Baptist at 1-5
- East Central has lost seven of their last eight games but four of those have been by seven points or fewer
- Two players are averaging better than 10.0 points per game for East Central, led by Devon Branch (13.3 ppg) and Whitney Stotler (11.9 ppg)

The Coaches
SWOSU: Kelsi Musick (118-95, 8th season)
- Two-time GAC Coach of the Year, winning back-to-back honors for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons and she has led the Lady Bulldogs to three 20-win seasons
- Musick has coached one All-American and 15 All-GAC selections, including one Player of the Year (Darcie Dick, 2012) and one Freshman of the Year (Hailey Tucker, 2016)
- Musick has led SWOSU to the GAC Tournament Championship games with two GAC Tournament Championships (2012, 2014) and two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances (2013, 2014) to her credit
- In eight seasons at SWOSU, Musick has a career record of 118-95, including a mark of 9-3 against ECU

East Central: Matt Cole (28-37, 3rd season)
- Cole was named ECU's fourth head coach in program history in 2014
- Prior to East Central, Coach Cole spent the last 11 years as an assistant women's coach at Northeastern State where he helped NSU to seven NCAA Tournaments, including two Sweet 16 appearances
 
Checking the Standings
- With their latest victory over Southeastern, Harding still remains atop the GAC standings with a perfect 6-0 conference record
- After Henderson State fell to SWOSU last Thursday to pick up their first conference loss of the season, they now sit tied for second with Arkansas Tech with 5-1 records
- SWOSU and Ouachita now sit tied for fourth place with 4-2 slates, while Southeastern currently holds an even 3-3 record to position them in sixth place
- Monticello, Southern Nazarene and Northwestern have 2-4 records and hold spots seven through nine, while OKBU, SAU and ECU round out the rankings with 1-5 marks

- The Lady Bulldogs had their three-game winning streak snapped for the second time this season, this time at the hands of Ouachita last Saturday
- Savannah Gray set a new career mark for points by scoring a team-high 19 points on 5-of-11 shooting from deep and a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe
- Hayden Priddy scored a second best 18 points for SWOSU against Ouachita, making it her sixth-straight game with at least 10 points
- Hailey Tucker, Hayden Priddy and Tyra Aska still mark the Lady Bulldog's three double-digit scorers averaging 18.2, 13.4 and 12.6 respectively
- SWOSU leads the conference in scoring offense, averaging 79.4 points per contest
- Tucker sits atop the GAC individually in both points (18.2) and rebounds (9.1)
- Whitney Dunn is currently the conference's most efficient scorer, shooting 63% from the field on 46-of-73 overall attempts
- Priddy ranks fourth in the GAC in assists (55, 4.6 apg) and fifth in steals (22, 1.8 spg) through the first twelve games of the season while averaging 35.9 minutes on the floor per game
- SWOSU's game against ECU will mark the third-consecutive road game the Lady Bulldogs have played
