WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The SWOSU Soccer team played Randall University on Wednesday winning in a route of the Saints 11-0. The Bulldogs surpassed the previous school record of most goals scored in a match (8) by having seven different goal scorers net at least one ball.

Alimata Rabo,
Shelley Mueller,
Olivia Butler,
Kodi Holloway,
Erica Brunet, and
Mikah Stroh all scored for the Bulldog attack.

The Bulldogs saw both Nabweteme and Rabo score three goals in the game, adding the 7th and 8th hat tricks in school history. Nabweteme started the scoring off in the 2nd minute, when she took a pass from
Regan Coil at the top of the box and scored. Seven minutes later she struck again, this time on the receiving end of a pass from Rabo to score. Rabo netted her first half goals at the four-minute mark and 20-minute mark, with assists coming from Nabweteme and Harris. Both Rabo and Nabweteme finished off their first career hat tricks in the second half with Rabo's coming in the 48th minute from a pass from Nabweteme and Nabweteme's in the 60th minute unassisted.

While two SWOSU scorers managed to score six of the eleven points, five other Bulldog players were able to put one home. Mueller, Butler, and Holloway all scored goals in the first half while Brunet and Stroh both added second-half goals. All five players mentioned collectively scored their first goals of the season.

SWOSU's offense thrived all game against the Saints, finishing second in school history by taking 47 shots. The Bulldogs broke a Great American Conference record and school record with their 11 goals scored in the match, breaking the 2002 squad's 8-0 victory over the University of Texas-Permian Basin.

Offense proved to be the best defense on Wednesday, as SWOSU held Randall to only three shots the entire game. Goalkeeper
Courtney Flores was only required twice, getting two saves on shots taken by the Saints. This is Flores and the defense's second-consecutive shutout after conceding three goals in the first game of the season against Central Missouri.

The Bulldogs (2-1) will wrap up their four-game home stand on Friday, September 9 against Southwestern Christian starting at 4 pm. Two days later, they will head to Edmond to face Central Oklahoma at 1 pm.Â
