Box Score (html)

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Baseball has now scored at least 11 runs in three straight games after the Bulldogs took down Southeastern Oklahoma State 15-6 on Friday at the Athletic Complex.

SWOSU scored the first six runs, taking a 6-0 lead into the sixth inning, which was where Southeastern got the majority of their offense for the game. The Savage Storm got five runs home in the sixth and one in the seventh, but a six-run eighth inning helped SWOSU put the game away for good.

The reigning GAC Player of the Week, Jacob Spring, led the charge by going 2-for-3 from the plate with his third home run of the season, three RBI and three runs scored. Haden Houska went 2-for-4 with five RBI, including a bases-clearing double in the third inning, while Joshua Santos was 2-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored. Korbin Polston and Zach Barton also had two hits apiece, helping the Bulldogs to 12 hits in the contest.

Jon Chidester (3-1) earned the victory after allowing four runs on five hits in 5.1 innings of work while also striking out three Southeastern batters. Four other relievers contributed in the effort, with Quinton Dougherty closing things down by allowing just one hit over the final two innings.

SWOSU improves to 8-5 with the win and they're 3-1 in conference play, looking for their second straight league series win with at least one victory tomorrow. First pitch of a doubleheader at the Athletic Complex on Saturday will come at 12:00 pm.
