- SWOSU won the first matchup in the series, taking down Southeastern 89-82 last month in Durant for their third straight road win in the series
- Southeastern Oklahoma State, now 10-14 overall and tied for eighth in the GAC at 8-10, seeks their second straight win over the Bulldogs in Weatherford after downing SWOSU 83-73 last February
- SWOSU has fallen back into a tie for fourth place in the GAC standings at 10-8 along with Southern Arkansas and Southern Nazarene
- Five Bulldog seniors will be playing their final game at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Thursday night and the group will be honored prior to tipoff

The OpponentSoutheastern Oklahoma State (10-14, 8-10 GAC)- Had a three-game winning streak snapped on Monday evening with a 76-72 setback against conference-leader East Central
- Tied for eighth place in the GAC standings at 8-10 and fighting for the last spot in the conference tournament, which is held next month in Bartlesville
- While they are .500 at 7-7 on their home floor, the Savage Storm have struggled to find success in true road games with a 3-7 record away from home
- One of the lowest scoring teams in the GAC, avearging 73.3 points per game while opponents have scored 78.3 points per game against Southeastern
- Thursday's game will match the top two teams in blocked shots against each other with Southeastern leading the conference (104) and SWOSU ranked second (96)
- Led in scoring by Anton Cook, who averages 16.6 points per game, along with Sami Bzai (14.2 ppg) and Nathan Jackson (10.3 ppg)

- Has coached three players at SWOSU that earned All-GAC distinction, including one GAC Player of the Year and one GAC Defensive Player of the Year
- Previously spent 25 years at Northwestern Oklahoma State, coaching the men's basketball team for 21 seasons before taking over as the school's athletic director
- In 26 years as a head coach, Battisti has a career record of 456-329 (.582) and he is 4-1 against Southeastern Oklahoma State as the head coach at SWOSU

Southeastern Oklahoma State: Kelly Green (60-75, 5th season)- In his fi fth season as the head coach of the Savage Storm, where he has coached six all-conference honorees, including three first-team selections
- Joined the Southeastern program after 14 seasons as the head coach at Arizona Western Junior College, where he posted a winning percentage of 76.2%
