- SWOSU is 10-3 since January 1st, including a 77-65 victory over the Crimson Storm last month in Bethany
- The Lady Bulldogs are 6-1 against Southern Nazarene as conference foes, but SNU left Weatherford victorious in their last visit in December 2014
- Thursday night's victory kept the Lady Bulldogs tied for third place in the GAC standings with Southern Arkansas, two games behind Harding in second place
- Southern Nazarene picked up their fourth conference victory of the season on Thursday, but they are still four games out of the final spot in the GAC Tournament
- The Lady Dawgs have won 10 of their last 11 games at home after starting the season 0-4 at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center

The OpponentSouthern Nazarene (5-14, 4-12 GAC)- Defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State 71-65 on Thursday night in Alva, snapping a six-game losing streak
- Ranked ninth in the league in scoring, averaging 66.8 points per game while allowing opponents to score 74.8 points per game for the second-worst scoring margin in the conference
- Second among GAC teams -- trailing only SWOSU -- in blocked shots with 80, an average of 4.2 per game
- Three of their five victories this season have come on the road and they have two wins in their last five road outings
- Led by Abby Boyd, the fifth-leading scorer in the GAC with an average of 17.3 points per game, but she was limited to 14 points in their first meeting with SWOSU

The CoachesSWOSU: Kelsi Musick (104-88; 7th season)- Two-time GAC Coach of the Year has been the model of consistency, winning GAC Tournament titles in two of the last four years and earning back-to-back NCAA Division II National Tournaments during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons
- Earned her 100th victory as head coach of the Lady Bulldogs on January 18th, 2016 against Northwestern Oklahoma State
- A great developer of talent, Musick has coached one All-American and 12 All-GAC selections, including one Player of the Year recipient
- Musick has also spent time as an assistant coach at Fresno State, where they won two Western Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles, as well as qualified for the NCAA Division I National Tournament in the 2008-09 season
- Has a record of 6-1 against Southern Nazarene as the head coach of the Lady Bulldogs, including a 2-1 mark against the Crimson Storm in Weatherford

Southern Nazarene: Derek Dorris (45-56; 4th season)- Became the 10th coach in SNU women's basketball history prior to the 2012-13 season, which ended in an NCCAA National Championship for the Crimson Storm
