WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Volleyball fell to Oklahoma Baptist Tuesday night in Weatherford by a score of 3-1. Carly Zak led all Bulldogs with 14 kills, while Kaitlyn Dillon collected a team-high 18 digs in the match.

The Bulldogs dug themselves an early hole that required most of the first set to come out of. Oklahoma Baptist started the set with a 9-2 lead after scoring five-consecutive points from the 4-2 mark. Trailing 19-10, SWOSU called a timeout looking for a change in momentum. Coming out of the huddle, the Dawgs proceeded the shave the lead down to one at 22-21 before finally falling to the Lady Bison in the opening set 25-22.

In the second set, both teams battled the entire way through with no team extending a lead more than three points. Carly Zak slammed home a kill to give the Dawgs a 22-20 lead, but the Lady Bison responded by tying the set back up at 24-24. From that point, it was Kelsi Schmidtberger finding the floor on a ball and an attacking error on OKBU to give SWOSU the second set 26-24.

The Lady Bison responded after the dropped set by controlling the remainder of the match and went on to win the final two sets both by a score of 25-16. With the loss, SWOSU gets swept by OKBU in the regular-season series 2-0.
