Setting the Stage
- The Lady Bulldogs have another quick turnaround as they play their fourth game in the last seven days on Wednesday evening at Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant
- SWOSU takes a nine-game winning streak on the road to Southeastern following their largest victory of the season, an 89-50 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Monday
- Wednesday's game will be just the second road game for the Lady Bulldogs in January and SWOSU takes a 2-1 road record with them to Durant
- Four players scored in double figures to lead the Lady Bulldogs past Northwestern, led by Jessica Penner who had a double-double with 26 points and 14 rebounds
- SWOSU's winning streak has elevated the Lady Bulldogs into a three-way tie for third place in the GAC standings with two teams they have defeated: Southern Arkansas and Henderson State
- The Lady Bulldogs are looking for their first victory in Durant since 2013 and end a two-game winless streak on the Savage Storm's home court
- The meeting will be a rematch of the first round of the 2015 GAC Tournament quarterfinals, when Southeastern ended the Lady Bulldogs season by a score of 101-92
 
The Opponent
Southeastern Oklahoma State (4-11, 2-7 GAC)
- Suffered a 48-43 rivalry defeat on Monday night at East Central, falling to 4-11 on the year and into a tie for 10th in the GAC at 2-7
- In five conference home games, SE is 0-5 but they've lost those games by an average of 5.2 points per game
- Ranked eighth in the GAC in scoring with an average of 68.7 points per game and they hold their opponents to 67.9 points per game for a scoring margin of +0.8
- One of the top shooting teams in the league with a 74.3% free throw percentage (2nd in GAC) and 41.4% field goal percentage (4th)
- Wednesday's game will match the top two three-point shooters in the GAC with Southeastern's Olivia Potter having knocked down 52 triples (3.5/game) this year and SWOSU's Hailey Tucker not far behind with 47 (3.1/game)
- Potter is SE's leading scorer and she ranks seventh in the GAC with a scoring average of 15.3 points per game
- Taylor Richards is the Savage Storm's fourth-leading scorer, but she leads the GAC in free throw percentage (93.3%), ranks third in field goal percentage (60.0%) and sixth in assists (4.4/game)
 
The Coaches
SWOSU: Kelsi Musick (100-85; 7th season)
- Two-time GAC Coach of the Year has been the model of consistency, winning GAC Tournament titles in two of the last four years and earning back-to-back NCAA Division II National Tournaments during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons
- Earned her 100th victory as head coach of the Lady Bulldogs on January 18th, 2016 against Northwestern Oklahoma State
- A great developer of talent, Musick has coached one All-American and 12 All-GAC selections, including one Player of the Year recipient
- Musick has also spent time as an assistant coach at Fresno State, where they won two Western Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles, as well as qualified for the NCAA Division I National Tournament in the 2008-09 season
- Has a record of 6-7 against Southeastern Oklahoma State as the head coach of the Lady Bulldogs, including a record of 2-2 in Durant during GAC play
 
Southeastern Oklahoma State: Darin Grover (160-135; 11th season)
- Named the 2014-15 GAC Coach of the Year after leading his squad to a 20-10 record and GAC Tournament semifinal appearance
- Has led Southeastern to the NCAA Division II national tournament twice and amassed more than 230 career wins between his time at Southeastern and NEO

Last Time Out
- Jessica Penner came off the bench to record a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, leading her team to their ninth straight victory, 89-50 on Monday against NWOSU
- The victory is the 100th career win for seventh-year SWOSU Head Coach Kelsi Musick, who becomes the third coach in program history to reach the 100-win plateau

- Jessica Penner secured her second double-double of the season on Monday, making her the fourth Lady Bulldog (Korina Chapman, Janae Coffee, Jade Jones) with multiple double-doubles in 2015-16
- Jennifer Williams has reached double figures in scoring off the bench in three of the last five games, upping her season average to 10.2 points per game
- Coffee grabbed 11 rebounds against Northwestern, her third straight game with 10 or more rebounds and she's moved into fourth in the GAC rankings with 8.3 rebounds per game
- Jones was limited to a season-low two points against NWOSU, but she grabbed six rebounds and added six assists to her GAC-leading total of 79 (5.3/game)
- SWOSU's scoring offense of 79.3 points per game is now the second-best in the conference, as is the Lady Bulldogs scoring margin of +8.5 points per game
- Five players have hit 10 or more three-pointers for the Lady Bulldogs this season, helping SWOSU ranks second in the conference with an average of 8.0 made three's per game
 
Looking Ahead
- For the first time in over a week, the Lady Bulldogs have more than one days rest before returning to action on Saturday against Oklahoma Baptist
- Tipoff time of the game has been moved up to noon at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center to accommodate for a high school tournament using the same venue later on Saturday
