Box Score (html)

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU outscored Harding 13-2 over the final 5:26 of the first half, getting within two at the break before the Bisons shot lights out after halftime and earned a 79-52 victory over the Bulldogs Saturday at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.

SWOSU hit just 6-of-29 (20.7%) field goals after the intermission and missed all seven of their three-point field goal attempts as they scored just 16 points in the final 20 minutes. Harding, on the flip side, hit 60% from the field and missed just three pointers, hitting 8-of-11 shots from downtown as they earned the season sweep over the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs outrebounded Harding 38-35, using their effort to secure 13 second-chance points, and they blocked five shots while committing just six turnovers in the game. However, SWOSU had just six assists on 19 made field goals and Harding nearly made as many 3-pointers (16) as the Bulldogs did field goals (19) for the game.

Martell Collins led the Bulldogs with 12 points and six rebounds, but he was held scoreless after the break and grabbed just one rebound in the second half. Coming off the bench for the first time this season, Ayo Ojo also reached double figures in scoring with 10 points and he nearly posted a double-double with eight rebounds. Kenyan Borders and Keyshawn Perkins each added nine points, with the other six players who saw action combining for 12 points.

The loss is the second straight for the Bulldogs (11-10, 5-9 GAC) and their fourth in the last five games, dropping SWOSU down to ninth in the GAC standings with six games remaining. SWOSU heads on the road next week, where they will face Ouachita Baptist and Southern Arkansas.
