Setting the Stage
- SWOSU plays the fifth game of their six-game homestand to open the season, still searching for their first win of the 2015-16 season
- The Great American Conference schedule is put on hold as the Lady Bulldogs welcome Oklahoma Christian to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff on Tuesday evening
- This is the first meeting between the two teams since OC began the transition to NCAA Division II status four years ago

The Opponent
Oklahoma Christian (1-4)
- Oklahoma Christian went 1-2 last week, defeating Southwestern Christian in between losses to Central Oklahoma and Cameron
- The Lady Eagles are averaging 63.8 points per game, but hold a -1.4 scoring margin through five games this season
- OC owns a +3.0 rebounding margin, averaging 46.8 boards comparted to their opponents' 43.8. The Lady Eagles hold an 85-64 advantage on the offensive glass against opponents

The Coaches
SWOSU: Kelsi Musick (90-84; 7th season)    
- Kelsi Musick is in her sixth season leading the SWOSU women's basketball program
- The two-time GAC Coach of the Year has been the model of consistency, winning GAC Tournament titles in two of the last fours years and earning back-to-back NCAA Division II National Tournaments during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons
- Her high-energy style of play has led the Lady Dawgs to rank in the top four in the nation in scoring, and top ten in three points made in three of the last four seasons
- A great developer of talent, Musick has coached one All-American and 12 all-GAC selections, including one Player of the Year recipient
- Musick has also spent time as an assistant coach at Fresno State, where they won two Western Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles, as well as qualified for the NCAA Division I National Tournament in the 2008-09 season

Oklahoma Christian: Stephanie Findley (572-373; 31st season)
- Long-time head coach Stephanie Findley returns for her 31st season in charge of the Lady Eagles basketball program
- Has led the OC women's basketball program through the NCAA Division II transition phase, fielding a competitive team that has finished in the top half of the Heartland Conference standings each year
- Set the state record for Oklahoma four-year college wins in women's basketball during the 2011-12 season
- Two-time NAIA District Coach of the Year and four-time Sooner Athletic Conference Coach of the Year
- Served three years as an assistant at OC before becoming the head coach. She has coached other notable coaches, including current University of Oklahoma women's basketball head coach Sherri Coale

The Series
- SWOSU and Oklahoma Christian have met 24 times on the hardwood, dating back to the 1977-78 season. The Lady Bulldogs own a 14-10 record over the Lady Eagles
- The last meeting between the two teams was in Weatherford on November 30, 2004. SWOSU fell to OC, 85-67
- This will be the first meeting between Musick and Findley

Last Time Out

- Four teams are tied for the top spot in the GAC at 2-0: Arkansas Tech, Southern Arkansas, Harding and Henderson State
