Volleyball Completes Season-Sweep of Langston in Straight Sets

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Volleyball won their sixth match in seven tries as they completed a home-and-home sweep of Langston on Tuesday evening at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center. The Bulldogs won the match in three sets, making it their seventh straight-set victory on the season.
 
Jill Green led the Bulldogs with nine kills and hit .364 for the match while playing in just two sets. Addie Aman, Carly Zak and Blair Dressendorfer each had six kills apiece, helping the Bulldogs finish with 37 kills and a .283 hitting percentage as a team.
 
Kodee Avery had a team-high 19 assists while Kayla Hebert added 10, but the Bulldogs had just one more dig than the Lions. Kaila Lancaster and Lindsey McCauley had seven digs apiece and Paige Holt had a team-best two blocks. SWOSU held Langston to a hitting percentage of .016 for the match, including negative hitting numbers in the first and third sets.
 
The victory improves the Bulldogs to 13-8 on the year with three home matches ahead this weekend. SWOSU returns to action on Friday night at 6:00 pm, hosting Ouachita Baptist at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.
