WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The SWOSU baseball team followed up scoreless Saturday by allowing just two runs to Quincy and again taking two wins against the Hawks. SWOSU won twice on Sunday by scores of 4-1 and 5-1 to extend their current winning streak to eight games.

Chris Faulkner had three hits – including two doubles and one triple – and two RBI to lead the Bulldogs in game one.
Dalton Daniels and
Mitchell Brittain also had multiple hits and Brittain and
Tyler Rapp had the other RBI for SWOSU.
Ethan Davis tossed a complete game, allowing eight hits and one earned run while striking out eight Quincy batters. Davis improves to 3-1 on the year after picking up the victory.

Faulkner was at it again, going 2-for-2 with 3 RBI, including an RBI double in the third inning and a two-run triple in the bottom of the fifth. Brittain and
Kale Thaxton also had RBI hits for the Bulldogs, who had seven hits in the game.
Tyler Hampton completed the weekend of complete games by the SWOSU pitching staff, allowing just five hits and one earned run in seven innings of work. Hampton walked five batters but struck out three as he earned his first win of the season, improving his record to 1-0.
SWOSU has now won eight straight games to improve to 11-7 on the year. This week they face Oklahoma Christian in non-conference action on Tuesday before hosting Henderson State for a conference series next weekend.
