2948James W. Suiter was a member of the SWOSU baseball team from 1963-64 under legendary head coach Rankin Williams. Suiter played center field for the Bulldogs and put together his best season in 1963, leading the Bulldogs to a 20-12 record and earning Second Team NAIA All-American honors after hitting .347 for the year. Following his collegiate career, Suiter played one season and managed two more for the semi-professional Lubbock Hubbers, leading them to two top-ten finishes at the National Semi-Pro tournament in Wichita, Kansas. Suiter also spent seven years coaching and teaching at the high school level in Texas before embarking on a career change. Suiter moved to Davenport, Iowa and enrolled at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he graduated in 1974 and spent two more years as an instructor at the school. In 1976, Suiter returned to Oklahoma and established Suiter Chiropractic Clinic in Duncan, a practice that he maintained until retiring from active practice in 2009. A native of Tipton, Okla., Suiter earned his Bachelor's Degree Education from SWOSU in 1965.
